The Fox and Hounds is a traditional country pub on the outskirts of town, combining the best of both worlds. We provide imaginative, freshly prepared, seasonal yet affordable food and a comfortable, welcoming space for those who simply want a drink. Everyone (including 4 footed and hoofed friends) are welcome and the accent is very firmly on good food, wine and real ale.

 

Our beautiful thatched pub is set in generous grounds with attractive gardens and paddock. There is a large function room/skittle alley which is in regular use for everything from skittles matches, to weddings to business meetings. Four footed friends are adored - well behaved ones (and children) are always welcome at all times and we encourage local riding groups to ride over and dine with their horses - in the paddock of course.

 

For that extra special event, romantic carriage rides followed by lunch or candle-lit dinner are available and our successful horse-drawn ghost and historical tours of Devizes start and finish at the Fox.
